Beschrijving

HPM D2T is a trinocular light microscope equipped with semiplan high-resolution objectives 4x, 10x, 40x and 100x for demanding laboratory imaging and documentation. The 30° inclined trinocular head rotates 360° and uses WFP 10x/20 mm eyepieces with foldable eyecups. Available magnifications include 40x, 100x, 400x and 1000x; the 40x and 100x objectives feature spring-loaded specimen protection. Specimen handling is supported by a 140 x 155 mm stage with integrated coaxial mechanical stage and ergonomically arranged drives. A centreable Abbe condenser with NA 1,25, iris diaphragm, filter holder and height adjustment ensures controlled illumination. New-generation 3 W LED lighting with Köhler iris diaphragm delivers continuously adjustable intensity via potentiometer, comparable to 30 W halogen, and an LED lifetime of about 50 000 hours. Delivered as 1 pc with dust cover, power cable and operating manual, the microscope from manufacturer Windaus is suited to brightfield observation, teaching and documentation workflows. Additional accessories are listed in the manufacturer literature.

Questions about HPM D2T

What is this article?

HPM D2T is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Windaus for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope objectives, eyepieces & optics, inside Microscopy & histology, in Instrumenten.

An objective makes the resolution. Magnification and numerical aperture are the two numbers, and the tube length or the infinity correction has to match the microscope. An eyepiece mostly enlarges the image the objective already resolved. A mismatched objective does not become sharper by zooming.

A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
