LAUDA Puridest PD 8 D is een volautomatisch bidestillatie-waterdestilleerapparaat ontworpen voor een hogere doorvoer van mono- en bidestillaat in veeleisende laboratoriumomgevingen. Het apparaat wordt aan de wand gemonteerd of staat op de tafel en levert 8 L/h, met een monodestillaatgeleidbaarheid van 2.2 µS/cm en een bidestillaatgeleidbaarheid van 1.6 µS/cm bij 25 °C. Aparte bewaking van beide trappen wordt verzorgd door hoofdschakelaar en controlelampen. Monodestillaat wordt afgetapt via een borosilicaatglas 3.3-afsluitkraan met PTFE-plug; bidestillaat verlaat het apparaat via een vrije uitloop onder een stofbeschermingsklok van borosilicaatglas. De condensor van trap 1 is roestvast staal; de condensor van trap 2 inclusief spatscherm is DURAN® borosilicaatglas 3.3. Waterregeling met magneetventiel, hergebruik van verwarmd koelwater voor destillatie en automatische uitschakeling verminderen energie- en waterverbruik. De verdamper is gemakkelijk toegankelijk voor reiniging; elektronische vervuilingstoezicht stopt het proces en geeft een optische reinigingsmelding. Continue elektronische niveauregeling plus dubbele laagwaterbeveiliging (vlotterschakelaar en thermostatische overtemperatuurschakelaar) beveiligen het bedrijf. Buisverwarmingselementen en verdamper van roestvast staal zitten in een dubbelwandige, poedergecoate behuizing van verzinkt staal van fabrikant Lauda. Het maximale verwarmingsvermogen is 11.5 kW; het koelwaterverbruik is 3.3 L/min. Afmetingen 700 × 390 × 700 mm, nettogewicht 48 kg. Net: 400 V; 3/N/PE; 50/60 Hz, IEC 60309 CEE-stekker.
