Reactievat, cilindrisch, gegradueerd met groef in de vlakke flens. Het reactievat is voorzien van een tempereermantel. De tempereermantel heeft twee aansluitstukken (naar keuze GL-schroefdraadaansluiting (GL 14 of GL 18) of kogelgewrichtaansluiting (kogelgewricht; KF 15 of KF 25). Het reactievat met vlakke flens wordt gesloten met een deksel, dat apart verkrijgbaar is. Beide delen worden bijeengehouden door een klemring. Een afdichtring, of het gebruik van slijpvet, voorkomt dat de slijpvlakken vastlopen. Geschikte siliconen- en FEP-afdichtringen zijn apart verkrijgbaar. Het vat met vlakke flens kan door middel van diverse standaard slijpstukken in het deksel worden gecombineerd met andere componenten (bijv. koelers, roerassen en druppeltrechters).Toepassingen: voorbereidende werkzaamheden, zoals algemene reacties, destillatie, verdamping en droging, waarbij vaste of viskeuze stoffen ontstaan.
