Reactievaat, cilindrisch, met schaalverdeling en groef in de vlakke flens. Een aftapkraan is in de bodem van het reactievaat ingebed. Reactievaten tot 6 liter met een kraanopening Ø van 10 mm; vanaf 10 liter met een kraanopening Ø van 20 mm. Het vlakflens-reactievaat wordt afgesloten met een deksel dat apart verkrijgbaar is. Beide delen worden bij elkaar gehouden door een klemring. Een afdichtring, of het gebruik van slijpvet, voorkomt dat de geslepen oppervlakken vastklemmen. Geschikte siliconen- en FEP-afdichtringen zijn apart verkrijgbaar. Het vlakflensvat kan met andere componenten (bijv. koelers, roerassen en druppeltrechters) worden gecombineerd door middel van diverse standaard geslepen verbindingen in het deksel.Toepassingsgebieden: preparatieve werkzaamheden, zoals algemene reacties, destillaties en verdampingen.
