Reactievat, cilindrisch, met schaalverdeling en groef in de vlakflens. In de bodem van het reactievat is een aftapkraan ingebed. Reactievaten tot 6 liter met een kraanopening Ø van 10 mm; vanaf 10 liter met een kraanopening Ø van 20 mm. Het vlakflens-reactievat wordt afgesloten met een deksel dat apart verkrijgbaar is. Beide onderdelen worden door een klemring bij elkaar gehouden. Een afdichtring, of het gebruik van slijpvet, voorkomt dat de geslepen oppervlakken vastklemmen. Geschikte siliconen- en FEP-afdichtringen zijn apart verkrijgbaar. Het vlakflensvat kan door middel van diverse standaard slijpstukken in het deksel worden gecombineerd met andere componenten (bijv. koelers, roerassen en druppeltrechters).Toepassingsgebieden: preparatieve werkzaamheden, zoals algemene reacties, destillaties en verdampingen.
