De cassette biedt een polyacrylamidegradiënt van 4-15 % op een gel van 10 × 8,3 cm met 12 pockets, geschikt voor eiwitscheidingsworkflows bij de bereiding van PAGE-gels. De dichtheid is ongeveer 1 g/cm³ en het kookpunt ligt op circa 100 °C. Het TGN Mini-formaat past in standaard minigel-apparatuur die wordt gebruikt voor gradiënt-PAGE.
