ROTI®Prep Viral RNA/DNA MINI is ontwikkeld voor de isolatie van viraal DNA en RNA uit verschillende soorten bronmateriaal. De isolatie wordt uitgevoerd via de beproefde en betrouwbare spin-columntechniek, die zeer eenvoudig te hanteren is en slechts enkele stappen vereist.

De kit maakt de gelijktijdige extractie van viraal ssDNA, dsDNA en ssRNA mogelijk. De zuivering gebeurt door gebruik te maken van een carrier-RNA, wat zorgt voor een hogere binding van het nucleïnezuur (resp. zijn complex met het carrier-RNA) aan het spinfilter en dus een hogere opbrengst. Bovendien worden 5 specifiek geoptimaliseerde protocollen meegeleverd om voor elk bronmateriaal een maximale zuiverheid van het nucleïnezuur te bereiken. Zo wordt binnen ca. 25 minuten hoogzuiver viraal nucleïnezuur geëlueerd, vrij van inhibitoren. Dit nucleïnezuur kan direct worden toegepast in verdere stroomafwaartse toepassingen, zoals RT-PCR, PCR, packaging, enz.
