Beschrijving

Si 14794 is a silicate/silicic acid reagent test for quantitative determination of silicon in the measuring range 0,005–5,00 mg/l Si. The assay follows the silicomolybdenum blue method and corresponds to DIN 38405 D21 as well as US 4500-Si D/E. Each determination uses a 5 ml sample volume in a 10 mm cuvette, and one package provides 300 tests for efficient routine work. The reagents are designed for use with PhotoLab® and pHotoFlex® photometers and are supplied from manufacturer WTW - a Xylem brand. Batch certificates support documentation and quality control in the laboratory. This reagent test is suited to water analysis and related laboratory applications where reliable silicate or silicic acid measurement is required, offering a practical combination of defined measuring range, standardised method and high test capacity for continuous monitoring of aqueous samples.

This article is part of ICP, AAS & ion standards, in Analytical standards & reference materials.

What is this article?

Si 14794, Silicate/Silica Reagent test Measuring range: 0 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes WTW - a Xylem brand for laboratory use. It sits in ICP, AAS & ion standards, inside Analytical standards & reference materials, in Chemicaliën.

An ICP, AAS or ion standard is a solution of a stated element or ion at a stated concentration, with an uncertainty. It is the calibration point of a spectrometer or an electrode. The matrix, often dilute acid, has to match the method. A standard past its expiry is not that concentration.

A reference material is the article against which another result is compared. Its value is stated, and the uncertainty of that value is part of the product. An ICP or ion standard is a solution of known concentration. A volumetric standard is for titration. A chromatography standard is the peak you match. The grade names, including pharmacopoeia and ASTM, say which impurities were limited. Identity is checked on PubChem. Names follow IUPAC. Medicinal grades follow the European Pharmacopoeia and USP.
