STAMMOPUR RD 5 is een geconcentreerd instrumentreinigingsmiddel voor het verwijderen van vervuiling van gereedschappen, werkstukken en medische hulpmiddelen die ontstaat tijdens vervaardiging en bewerking in het tandtechnisch laboratorium. Het concentraat van 1 liter wordt hoofdzakelijk gebruikt om bewerkingsresiduen zoals wassen evenals polijst- en slijpresten te verwijderen van tandheelkundige restauraties inclusief kronen, implantaten en prothesen, en van bewerkingsinstrumenten. Het is bijzonder geschikt voor hardnekkige, ingedroogde contaminatie van bloed, secreties, sputum en weefselresten. Reiniging kan worden uitgevoerd in een ultrasoonbad of door onderdompeling, en het product ondersteunt ook handmatige reiniging en voorreiniging van tandheelkundige, chirurgische, invasieve en niet-invasieve tandheelkundige instrumenten, accessoires en componenten van medische hulpmiddelen in praktijken, klinieken, orale chirurgie en orthodontie. STAMMOPUR RD 5 van fabrikant Bandelin vertoont zeer hoge materiaalcompatibiliteit met roestvast staal, instrumentstaal, titanium, glas, porselein, keramiek en kunststoffen, maar is niet bedoeld voor aluminium of alkaligevoelige metalen zoals koper, messing, tin en zink. Dosering is 3 % met ultrageluid (3–10 min) of 5 % zonder ultrageluid (tot 60 min). Vers bloed en eiwitvervuilingen worden koud behandeld; hardnekkige vervuilingen mogen worden verwarmd tot 60 °C. De verdunde alkalische oplossing wordt bereid met water van ten minste drinkwaterkwaliteit, zonder toegevoegde hulpstoffen.
