The sensor is a Pt100 element to DIN EN 60751 Class A in 4-wire configuration, giving stable readings with fine resolution when used with compatible instruments. A stainless-steel sheathed measuring section of 3 mm diameter and 150 mm nominal length is fixed to a plastic handle, with a permanently attached connection cable of 4 × 0,22 mm², Teflon/silicone insulated and 2 m long; cable exit is protected by a bend relief. Operating range is −50 °C to +200 °C. Connection is via a Physics plug offering 0,01 °C resolution and suitability for PHYSICS 100 and PHYSICS 300 instruments.
