Beschrijving

WF 15x/16 eyepiece, L100 is a wide-field ocular for the LYNX stereo microscope line applied in industrial inspection, electronics, gemmology and quality control. Delivering 15× magnification with a 16 mm field of view, it is designed for L100 systems available as binocular or trinocular units with Greenough optics, a 45° inclined head rotatable 360°, interpupillary distance settable from 54 to 75 mm, and bilateral diopter correction of ±5. Together with the stepless zoom from 0,67× to 4,5× (ratio 6,7:1), the instrument provides a standard magnification span of 6,7× to 45×, expandable up to 270× using optional accessories. The 105 mm working distance facilitates convenient viewing of voluminous specimens. Focus is adjusted via rack-and-pinion mechanics with controls on both sides, while the base carries a transparent disc with specimen clips and a dual, intensity-regulated LED system for incident and transmitted illumination. Supplied as one piece from manufacturer Labbox, this WF 15x/16 eyepiece is a compatible wide-field option for L100 / LYNX stereo microscopes in lab and inspection settings.

Questions about WF 15x/16 eyepiece, L100

What is this article?

WF 15x/16 eyepiece, L100 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope objectives, eyepieces & optics, inside Microscopy & histology, in Instrumenten.

An objective makes the resolution. Magnification and numerical aperture are the two numbers, and the tube length or the infinity correction has to match the microscope. An eyepiece mostly enlarges the image the objective already resolved. A mismatched objective does not become sharper by zooming.

A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
