Water sample bottle PP with sodium thiosulfate, clear, sterile (R), 1000 ml is a polypropylene container intended for the collection, transport and storage of water samples for microbiological analysis. It can be used for all analyses that demand a sterile specimen. Production takes place in aseptically sterile halls, after which the bottles are gamma-irradiated; packaging carries batch numbers as well as manufacturing and expiry dates. The square shape aids handling and is space-saving, while the GL 50 neck enables straightforward filling and pouring. A polyethylene cap with wide grip grooves, self-locking action and an internal safety ring guarantees a hermetic, leak-proof seal. Embossed graduations on the walls allow clear reading of the liquid level. Containing sodium thiosulfate at 20 mg/l according to ISO/FIS 19458/2006, the bottles are particularly suited to water analysis where chlorine might change sample composition.
