Description

Calcium Standard Solution is a metallo-organic standard containing 5000 mg/kg calcium in 20 cSt hydrocarbon oil. It is listed among analytical chemicals as a standard for AAS and ICP and belongs to the metallo-organic standards group. The concentration is specified as 5000 mg/kg Ca in a hydrocarbon oil of 20 cSt viscosity, giving a clearly defined calcium level in an oil matrix. Density (D) is 0,862 g/cm³, the flash point (flp) is 115 °C and the boiling point (bp) is greater than 218 °C. These physical data apply to the ROTI®Star hydrocarbon-oil formulation in which the calcium standard is supplied. The unit quantity is 50 ml, with a pack weight of 0,100 kg, from manufacturer Carl ROTH. Atomic absorption spectrometry and inductively coupled plasma laboratories can select this Calcium Standard Solution when an oil-based calcium reference at 5000 mg/kg Ca is required. The 20 cSt hydrocarbon oil matrix, together with the reported density, flash point and boiling point, identifies the carrier and handling characteristics of the 50 ml pack.
