Hematoxylin solution B acc. to WEIGERT, for microscopy, Density (D) 1,03 g/cm³, Boiling point (bp) 100 °C, UN-Nr. 3264
Haematoxylin solutions according to Weigert are used for cell nucleus staining in histology and cytology.Furthermore, these solutions are used in Masson-Goldner trichrome staining and trichrome staining according to van Gieson.
Working concentration
Mix WEIGERT’S solution A and WEIGERT’S solution B at a ratio of 1:1 prior to use (iron hematoxylin solution).This working solution is stable for 8 days in maximum at room temperature.
