DURAN® protect laboratoriumfles, amber, met kunststof coating, is een veiligheidsgecoate fles GL 45 met een nominaal volume van 2 l, geleverd zonder schroefdop en schenkring. Zij combineert aan de binnenzijde vrijwel inert USP/EP Type I borosilicate glas 3.3 met aan de buitenzijde een beschermende polyurethane kunststof coating om het risico op glasbreuk en vloeistofspatten bij breuk te verminderen. De amber buitenzijdekleur beschermt lichtgevoelige materialen tegen fotodegradatie en biedt UV-bescherming tot ongeveer 500 nm volgens internationale USP/EP-normen, terwijl de eigenschappen van het binnenste DURAN®-glas ongewijzigd blijven.
