DURAN® protect GL 80 laboratoriumfles is een heldere glasfles met wijde hals en kunststofcoating, geleverd met blauwe polypropylene schroefdop en schenkring in een nominaal volume van 3500 ml. Gevormd uit zeer zuiver USP/EP Type I borosilicate glass 3.3, biedt deze uitstekend thermisch gedrag en sterke chemische bestendigheid. De bredere GL 80-opening vergemakkelijkt de toegang voor granulaten, poeders, viskeuze vloeistoffen en grote trechters, terwijl de speciale schroefdraadgeometrie openen en sluiten in minder dan één draai mogelijk maakt. Een heldere PU-veiligheidscoating aan de buitenzijde vermindert het risico op breuk en spatten, voldoet aan ASTM E1522 en is volledig autoclaveerbaar bij 121 of 134 °C; de coating biedt ook UV-bescherming tot ongeveer 380 nm.
