CSB 14691 is a chemical oxygen demand (COD) reaction cuvette test intended for the photometric quantification of oxidisable organic load in water. The measuring range covers 300 to 3500 mg/l COD with a sample volume of only 2 ml. Twenty-five tests are supplied in 16 mm round cuvettes and operate with PhotoLab® and pHotoFlex® instruments. The method employs chromosulphuric-acid oxidation and complies with DIN ISO 15705, EPA 410.4, APHA 5220 D and ASTM D1252-06 B. Each batch is accompanied by a certificate; Combicheck CC80 is available for verification. Produced by WTW – a Xylem brand, the kit offers a convenient, standardised format for wastewater treatment plants, industrial effluent monitoring and environmental laboratories. Pre-filled reagents simplify workflow, improve reproducibility and support reliable COD screening across a wide concentration window without extensive sample preparation.
