The four-wire S-type measuring cell CS 500-3P1 in nickel-plated steel is specified to accuracy class OIML C3 with a nominal characteristic value of 2 mV/V and hermetic IP67 protection to EN 60529, supporting both tension and compression force measurements.

A 3,5'' touchscreen with touch pen provides the user interface. Two measuring channels for external force sensors are standard and can later be expanded from two to four; sensor-specific data reside in the connector. Selectable SI units include kg, N, kN, mN, MN, Nm, kNm and mNm. Track, peak-value and tolerance functions, 16 GB internal device memory and a USB interface for data transfer and power supply facilitate routine work. Two-point adjustment with weights or numerical adjustment is possible. The instrument from manufacturer Kern is supplied in a robust systainer® T-LOC system case including plug-in power supply and USB Type-C cable as a single unit.
