DURAN® flat flange lid with centre neck NS 29/32 and nominal diameter DN 120 is engineered for large-volume flat flange reaction vessels used as versatile alternatives to round-bottom flasks. Together with a matching base, the lid is held securely by a clamping ring; a gasket or ground-joint grease maintains a reliable seal and prevents jamming of the ground surfaces. The central standard ground joint NS 29/32, complemented by additional necks, enables flexible connection of accessories such as dropping funnels, stirrer shafts and other process components. Produced from borosilicate glass 3.3 by manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences, the lid offers outstanding chemical durability and thermal stability. It is particularly suitable for preparative applications including general reactions, distillations, evaporations and drying of solid or viscous materials. The solid wall construction and carefully designed geometry make the assembly pressure- and vacuum-resistant, allowing safe work under demanding conditions with a maximum operating overpressure at 250 °C.
