DURAN® GLS 80® double-walled laboratory bottle is a clear, wide-neck borosilicate glass 3.3 vessel with a nominal volume of 0,5 l and an integrated glass jacket for temperature control. Warm or cold media can be circulated through the jacket so that the contents of the screw-cap bottle are heated or cooled evenly, providing a closable alternative to open jacketed beakers. The wide GLS 80® neck gives convenient access to the interior, while 10 mm PTFE inlet and outlet hose connectors positioned around the jacket support uniform thermal transfer; the GL 18 outlet connections can be removed when higher safety is required. An easy-to-read scale on the inner vessel aids volume monitoring. Supplied with a blue polypropylene screw cap and pouring ring, the bottle is suited to temperature-regulated reactions such as enzymatic digestions, constant-temperature storage, work with endo- or exothermic reagents, and use as a simple chemostat, bioreactor or large cold trap with dry ice in the inner chamber.
