ELVAS-1, Adapter set for extremly low viscosities

ELVAS-1 adapter set for very low viscosities is a specialised spindle and geometry package for measuring fluids in the low-viscosity range. The set includes a double jacket for rapid heating or cooling of the sample and a coaxial cylinder system that enables analysis at defined shear rate and shear stress. The 16 ml spindle is typically used with the ROTAVISC lo-vi and supports measurements from 1 mPas at 20 °C water temperature; the maximum measurable viscosity is 2000 mPas. The spindle without water jacket can also be operated in a customer-specific vessel when flexible sample containment is required. Supplied as one set with a net weight of 1,753 kg, the accessory is suited to laboratories working with thin liquids, dilute solutions and similar low-viscosity media. From manufacturer IKA, ELVAS-1 extends rotational viscometer capability toward sensitive low-end measurements while retaining controlled thermal conditioning. This configuration supports reproducible rheological data when standard spindles lack resolution at very low viscosities.
