Universal embedding cassettes, beige, are histology consumables moulded from high-quality technical plastic (POM). Each unit features a 1 × 5 mm perforation pattern that supports efficient fluid exchange during fixation, dehydration and paraffin infiltration. Base and lid are joined by an integral hinge and are supplied fully assembled, ready for immediate use in routine tissue-processing workflows. Designed for applications covered by EU Regulation 2017/746 on in-vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVDR), the cassettes carry the CE mark and a batch number to provide clear identification and full traceability. The beige colour coding helps laboratories organise specimens by case type or staining protocol. Supplied by manufacturer Marienfeld, the cassettes are packed 500 pieces per carton and 6,000 pieces per outer carton. For larger offtake, bases and lids can also be delivered separately so that they need not be opened before printing.
