Floor scale KERN BID 3T-3M is a durable platform scale combining solid price-performance value with optional verification. Its plastic evaluation unit is protected against dust and splash water to IP65, with display details corresponding to the KERN KIB-TM series. The weighing bridge consists of non-slip steel chequer plate mounted on four silicone-coated alloy-steel load cells rated IP67. Levelling of the bridge and access to the junction box can be performed conveniently from above. Weight values and piece counts may be totalled. Optional interfaces including RS-232, USB, WLAN, Bluetooth or Ethernet allow easy incorporation into existing networks and smooth data exchange between scale, PC or printer. Query and remote control of the instrument via external controllers or computers are supported by the KERN Communication Protocol (KCP) from manufacturer Kern. KCP is a standardised command set for KERN scales and related instruments that retrieves and controls all relevant parameters and functions; it is largely compatible with the MT-SICS protocol for linking to computers, industrial controls and other digital systems.
