Glass plates with 24 ground and polished depressions of approximately 20-22 mm diameter and approximately 2 mm depth provide a compact multi-well platform for laboratory work. Fabricated from float glass, the plates measure 130 x 160 x 6 mm and feature seamed edges with bevelled corners for safer manual handling. The carefully ground and polished wells enable controlled sample distribution and easy visual inspection. Supplied as single pieces from manufacturer Marienfeld, these plates are well suited to staining racks, development chambers, staining boxes and comparable laboratory set-ups. Float-glass construction ensures a flat, optically useful surface that maintains stability during routine procedures. The reduced well depth of approximately 2 mm and slightly smaller diameter range accommodate smaller sample volumes while the 6 mm plate thickness adds mechanical strength.
