Beschreibung
HABITAT ferment cct is a control unit package for bioreactor fermentation, built for precise monitoring and control of fermentation processes. The control tower integrates all connection points for gas supply, liquid addition, multiparameter sensors and temperature regulation, together with a user-friendly 10,4-inch tablet for clear, intuitive operation of the bioreactor system. Optional connection of CO2, conductivity and turbidity sensors extends process insight beyond the standard vessel-package sensors for pH, dissolved oxygen, temperature, level and foam. From manufacturer IKA, the system supports batch, fed-batch and perfusion/continuous modes, with chaotic mixing available for homogeneous blending when required. Four integrated mass flow controllers serve separate N2, O2, air and CO2 lines at 0,1–20 L/min, while cascade control automatically adapts gas flow to hold setpoints. Four bidirectional Watson-Marlow pumps dose acids, bases, antifoam and nutrients with individual speed control. PID temperature control covers single- and double-walled glass vessels; with an IKA thermostat on double-walled vessels, temperature can be set freely from 5 to 80 °C. Compact housing measures 223 × 402 × 450 mm (W × D × H), with USB, PC, RS232, Ethernet and data storage connectivity.
This article is part of Temperature probes & sensors, in Temperature measurement.

Questions about HABITAT ferment cct, Control unit package for bioreactor, fermentation, incl. op
What is this article?
HABITAT ferment cct, Control unit package for bioreactor, fermentation, incl. op is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Temperature probes & sensors, inside Temperature measurement, in Präzisionsinstrumente.
A temperature probe is the sensor, Pt100, thermocouple or thermistor, that a meter or a logger reads. The probe, not the display, is what is calibrated. The sheath material and the response time matter in a liquid versus a block.
A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
