Beschreibung

Sheathed thermocouple NiCr-NiAl(K) 150 mm long, Ø 1,0 mm is a type-K temperature probe intended for high-temperature measurement in laboratory and process applications. The sensor features a 1,0 mm diameter Inconel sheath with a length of 150 mm and is suitable for use up to 1100 °C. Thermocouple wires are embedded in magnesium within the sheath to provide stable thermal response and mechanical protection. Maximum cold-junction temperature is 80 °C. A permanently attached 1 m compensation cable is included for convenient connection to compatible instruments; further cable lengths are available on request. Supplied as a single piece from manufacturer LAT, this sheathed thermocouple supports precise temperature sensing with digital meters, data loggers and climate measurement systems that require NiCr-NiAl(K) type-K probes. The 1,0 mm diameter offers a robust probe profile for general insertion tasks, while the Inconel construction withstands demanding thermal environments in scientific and industrial monitoring work.

This article is part of Temperature probes & sensors, in Temperature measurement.

Questions about Jacket thermocouples NiCr-NiAl(K)

What is this article?

Jacket thermocouples NiCr-NiAl(K) is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes LAT for laboratory use. It sits in Temperature probes & sensors, inside Temperature measurement, in Präzisionsinstrumente.

A temperature probe is the sensor, Pt100, thermocouple or thermistor, that a meter or a logger reads. The probe, not the display, is what is calibrated. The sheath material and the response time matter in a liquid versus a block.

A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
