Karl Fischer ROTI®Hydroquant T5 E is a pyridine-free, ethanol-based Karl Fischer titrant standardised at 5 mg H2O/ml. Supplied in a 1 l pack, it suits volumetric water determination when a higher titre and an ethanol medium are required. Reported physical properties include a density of 0,888 g/cm³, a flash point of 12 °C and a boiling point of 78 °C, with UN number 1170. Laboratories select T5 E for efficient moisture analysis across a broad range of samples that are compatible with ethanol-based Karl Fischer chemistry and that benefit from a pyridine-free formulation. The reagent is offered in the ROTI®Hydroquant range from manufacturer Carl ROTH and is used with appropriate KF solvents in routine titration workflows. Documented titre strength together with density and thermal data facilitate instrument setup, method validation and safe day-to-day handling in analytical environments.
