LR-5.ST the Versatile S002 laboratory reactor with UK plug is a modular laboratory reactor for optimising and reproducing chemical reaction, mixing and homogenisation processes at the 5-litre laboratory scale. A dedicated stirrer-shaft mount safely transmits the high torque of the overhead stirrer, and rotation direction can be reversed to improve mixing of aqueous solutions. Free ports in the reactor lid accept dispersing instruments (ULTRA-TURRAX®), temperature sensors, flow breakers and further accessories. The system supports vacuum operation down to 25 mbar and uses product-contacting seals of solvent- and temperature-resistant perfluoroelastomer (FFPM). Continuously adjustable speed, an integrated torque-trend display for viscosity changes and microprocessor speed control that holds the set value under load are provided, together with a detachable wireless controller (WiCo) for safe fume-hood use. From manufacturer IKA, the system comprises stand, EUROSTAR 100 control laboratory stirrer, safety shut-off and reactor lid. For highly viscous media the High-Performer variant is recommended.
