For durable preparations. Mowiol 4-88 is used as hydrophilic mounting medium, particularly for immune histochemical applications. Usually it is applied in combination with the antibleaching reagent DABCO (1.4-Diazabicyclo-(2.2.2)octane), Art. No. 0718, which conserves the colours and the fluorescence of durable samples.
