Beschreibung
Nickel Standard Solution is a metallo-organic standard containing 5000 mg/kg nickel (Ni) in 20 cSt hydrocarbon oil. The ROTI®Star preparation is used as an analytical chemical for atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) and inductively coupled plasma (ICP) work that requires an oil-based nickel reference. Physical data for the hydrocarbon oil matrix include a density of 0,862 g/cm³, a flash point of 115 °C and a boiling point greater than 218 °C. The solution is supplied in a 50 ml pack with a weight of 0,100 kg for preparation of calibration dilutions in a matching 20 cSt oil medium. The nickel is present at a defined mass fraction of 5000 mg/kg in the hydrocarbon oil carrier. This nickel standard from manufacturer Carl ROTH is intended for AAS and ICP methods in which metallo-organic standards are used. The 5000 mg/kg Ni concentration permits dilution to lower working levels while remaining in the same 20 cSt hydrocarbon oil. These physical properties help laboratories assess handling characteristics of the oil-based standard during routine analytical work.
