Reactievat, cilindrisch, met schaalverdeling en groef in de vlakke flens. Het reactievat is voorzien van een tempereermantel. De tempereermantel heeft twee aansluitingen (naar keuze GL-schroefdraadverbinding [GL 14 of GL 18] of kogelgewrichtverbinding [kogelgewricht-kogel; KF 15 of KF 25]). In de bodem van het reactievat is een aftapkraan ingebouwd. Reactievaten tot 6 liter met een kraanopening Ø van 10 mm; vanaf 10 liter met een kraanopening Ø van 20 mm. Het vlakke-flens-reactievat wordt afgesloten met een deksel dat apart verkrijgbaar is. Beide delen worden bij elkaar gehouden door een klemring. Een afdichtring, of het gebruik van slijpvet, voorkomt dat de slijpstukken vastlopen. Geschikte siliconen- en FEP-afdichtringen zijn apart verkrijgbaar. Het vlakke-flens-vat kan via diverse standaard slijpstukken in het deksel worden gecombineerd met andere componenten (bijv. koelers, roerassen en druppeltrechters). Toepassingsgebieden: preparatief werk, zoals reacties, distillaties en verdampingen.
