ROTI®Plate90 zijn geprepareerde kweekbodemplaten met een diameter van 90 mm. Ze zijn daarmee aangepast aan de grootte van membraanfilters voor het testen van vloeistoffen met een laag kiemgetal via de membraanfiltratiemethode. Ze zijn ook in het algemeen toepasbaar voor microbiologische analyse van monsters. De kiemen van vloeibare monsters met een verwacht laag kiemgetal worden geconcentreerd door middel van membraanfiltratie. Vervolgens wordt het membraan op de kweekbodem geplaatst en geïncubeerd. Het gebruik van een membraan met een raster helpt bij het tellen van de gevormde kolonies. Onze producten zijn uitsluitend getest en goedgekeurd voor onderzoek en ontwikkeling.
Monsters waarvan een hogere microbiële belasting wordt verwacht, worden verwerkt in een serieverdunning. Daarna wordt elke verdunningsstap uitgeplaat en geïncubeerd. Het aantal gegroeide kolonies wordt als resultaat genoteerd.
Bile Esculin Azide Agar is een modificatie van Bile Esculin Agar met een verlaagde galconcentratie en de toevoeging van natriumazide. De formulering voldoet aan de ISO-norm 7899-2 voor de tweede stap van bevestiging en telling van enterokokken in water via de membraanfiltratiemethode. Kolonies die zijn geselecteerd op Slanetz-Bartley-agar (1NA6.1) moeten worden bevestigd door een korte incubatie op de BEA, door esculine-hydrolyse.
