Sartolab® BT 500 PES bottle top filters are single-use units for the sterile filtration of sample volumes up to 500 mL. They incorporate a 0,22 µm polyethersulfone (PES) membrane that combines high flow rates with a large filtration area and low protein affinity, thereby reducing protein loss during filtration. An optimised membrane support further lowers hold-up volume so that more of the sample is recovered. These bottle top filters can be used as a stand-alone system or together with the Sartolab® Multistation, which enables parallel filtration of up to six samples at once. Available in a pack of 12 pieces from manufacturer Sartorius, the units are well suited to laboratory applications that require sterile filtration of media, buffers and other aqueous solutions.
