Sieve rings with square perforation are used for fast comminution of brittle materials for achieving medium finenesses. They achieve larger throughput and less sample residue due to the larger, open sieve surface.
Additionally sieve rings with trapezoidal and round perforation are available. Sieve rings with trapezoidal perforation provide additional shearing effects. Sieve rings with round perforation are also used for fast comminution of brittle materials for achieving medium finenesses. They achieve a narrow grain size range.
