Voorverpakte ROTI®Dex-Grav kolommen voor grootte-uitsluitingschromatografie via zwaartekracht, voor snelle en efficiënte verwijdering van ongewenste laagmoleculaire factoren, zoals onzuiverheden, zouten, hulpstoffen, markers, celafval, enz. uit eiwit- of nucleïnezuuroplossingen.
De zuivering is gebaseerd op een bolvormig poreus gelfiltratiemedium bestaande uit met epichloorhydrine verknoopte dextran.
Bij grootte-uitsluitingschromatografie worden moleculen gescheiden op basis van hun grootte in oplossing. Kleinere moleculen passeren de kolom veel langzamer dan grotere moleculen. In tegenstelling tot andere chromatografiemethoden treden hier geen interacties op tussen de analyt en de stationaire fase van de kolom. Dit biedt de ideale basis voor de zuivering en analyse van intacte eiwitten.
