BPW (Buffered Peptone Water): Dit is een niet-selectief voorverrijkingsmedium dat het herstel van beschadigde cellen bevordert. LB (Letheen Bouillon): Een nutriëntenrijk medium dat lecithine en Tween 80 als neutralisatoren bevat. Dit medium kan worden gebruikt om de effectiviteit van hygiënemaatregelen te testen. DE (Dey-Engley Neutralising Medium): Neutraliseert de bactericide en bacteriostatische effecten van ontsmettingsmiddelen.
