Beschreibung

Wire weight F1 is a precision test weight aligned with F1 weight sets spanning 1 mg to 10 kg for laboratory balance verification and metrological checks. Up to 500 mg the pieces are configured as leaf weights: aluminium is used at a density of 2,7 g/cm³, leaf weights in the 1–5 mg range are nickel silver at 8,7 g/cm³, and leaf weights from 10 mg to 500 mg are made from non-magnetisable special steel with a density of 8,0 g/cm³ and high corrosion resistance. Knob weights are high-gloss polished for clean handling and stable surface condition. Supplied as a single piece in a wooden case from manufacturer Sartorius, the unit supports routine calibration workflows where F1-class reference masses are required. Net weight is 0,030 kg. The combination of defined densities, non-magnetisable special steel and a protective wooden case helps maintain reliable mass values during storage and use on analytical and precision balances in quality-controlled laboratory environments.

Questions about Wire Weight 200 mg, OIML F1

What is this article?

Wire Weight 200 mg, OIML F1 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Sartorius for laboratory use. It sits in Calibration & test weights, inside Balances & scales, in Präzisionsinstrumente.

A test weight is a mass of a stated class, used to check a balance. The class sets the tolerance. A weight that is dirty, or that has been handled with bare fingers, is no longer that class. The certificate ties the weight to a standard.

A balance compares a mass with a standard. An analytical balance reads to 0.1 mg or finer and needs a draft shield and a stable bench. A precision balance is coarser and faster. A platform scale takes a heavier load. The reading is only as good as the calibration chain back to the kilogram, which is why test weights and a certificate exist. A moisture analyser is a balance with a heater: it records the loss of mass as water leaves. The unit of mass is kept by the BIPM, compared across Europe by EURAMET, and accredited by BELAC. NIST publishes the same measurement foundations.
