The insulation has an inner diameter of 17 mm and a wall thickness of 12 mm, allowing it to slide over typical DN 12 hose outer diameters while forming a stable insulating layer. Its working temperature range extends from −30 °C to 110 °C, making it suitable for chilled-water lines as well as moderately heated media. In everyday laboratory setups the sleeve helps reduce heat loss or condensation on silicone, PVC, PE or rubber hoses connected to baths, circulators and reactors.
