Sized at 2 L, they fit Biostat® RM bioreactors and form part of the Flexsafe® RM optical series spanning 2 L to 200 L. Optical bags include integrated single-use opto-chemical pH and DO sensors that are already pre-calibrated. Together with the Biostat® RM control tower they enable high-end cultivation with full process automation. The SC format reflects availability of screw caps of 38 mm diameter on bags up to 50 L, allowing insertion or removal of larger objects such as microcarriers inside a laminar flow cabinet.
