Description
Vanadium Standard Solution is a metallo-organic vanadium standard containing 1000 mg/kg V in 20 cSt hydrocarbon oil. The ROTI®Star preparation uses a hydrocarbon-oil matrix of 20 cSt viscosity and is listed for AAS and ICP as well as metallo-organic standard applications. Packed in 50 ml, the solution shows a density of 0,862 g/cm³, a flash point of 115 °C and a boiling point greater than 218 °C. These physical values characterise the oil that carries the vanadium analyte. The 1000 mg/kg V content specifies the elemental concentration of the hydrocarbon-oil standard. Laboratory staff can relate density and flash point to handling of the viscous oil matrix. This vanadium standard from manufacturer Carl ROTH belongs to the ROTI®Star range and is supplied as a 50 ml unit weighing 0,100 kg. Concentration, 20 cSt hydrocarbon oil and the stated physical constants together identify the product for oil-based vanadium calibration in the analytical laboratory.
