Description
PHYSICS 1000 - R1 (P314) is a high-precision digital measuring instrument with integrated data logger and two input sockets for Pt100 resistance thermometers. Built for precision temperature work, it covers a measuring range from −200 °C to +400 °C at a resolution of 0,001 °C. Accuracy is 0,01 % of the measured value ± 3 digits, with a temperature drift of 0,003 %/°C, a 24-bit Delta-Sigma AD converter at 2,5 M/s, and self-calibration of zero point and measuring current. Galvanic isolation uses semiconductor relays rated to 50 V. Internal RAM holds 99 measured values; an optional memory stick extends capacity to about 25 000 readings. Functions include measured-value display, zeroing, setpoint and two-point adjustment plus scaling, while the multilingual menu provides Max/Min values, time averages and multi-point selection. Two output sockets, three Mignon alkaline batteries or mains-adapter supply, IP54 protection and housing dimensions of 127 × 83 × 42 mm characterise this compact unit from manufacturer Schneider. Net weight is approximately 0,29 kg, supporting laboratory and field temperature logging where high resolution and reliable data capture are required.
This article is part of Data loggers, in Temperature measurement.

Questions about Measuring device PHYSICS 1000 - R1 (P314) with data logger, 2 input channels
What is this article?
Measuring device PHYSICS 1000 - R1 (P314) with data logger, 2 input channels is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Schneider for laboratory use. It sits in Data loggers, inside Temperature measurement, in Lab instruments.
A data logger stores a temperature, a humidity or another signal over time, so a shipment or a room has a record rather than a spot reading. The interval, the memory and the sensor range are the specification. A logger that is full has stopped being a record.
A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
