Description

201T-F 3-in-1 pH/temperature combination electrode simultaneously measures pH and temperature and supports automatic temperature compensation. It is intended for routine pH determination of ordinary aqueous solutions in scientific research, environmental monitoring and quality control. The sensor uses a non-refillable KCl gel electrolyte and a single-fibre ceramic diaphragm; the removable electrode cap simplifies cleaning. Its polycarbonate housing is impact-resistant and corrosion-resistant, making the probe suitable for laboratory and field use. Offered by manufacturer APERA Instruments, the electrode covers the 0–14 pH range, employs an Ag/AgCl reference system and incorporates a 30 kΩ thermistor temperature sensor. Shaft dimensions are Ø12×160 mm and the 1 m cable ends in a BNC/RCA connector. Compatible Apera meters include PH700, PH850, PC850, PH8500, PC8500, PC910, PH910, PH950, PC950, MP511, PH800 and PC800. The electrode is not recommended for low-ionic-strength media, strongly basic solutions above pH 12, highly corrosive liquids or continuous high-temperature testing above 60 °C. Recommended operating temperature is 0–80 °C. Supplied as one piece with a six-month manufacturer warranty.

What is this article?

201T-F 3-in-1 pH/Temp. Electrode, ATC Enabled, BNC/RCA Connector is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes APERA Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
