Description

2301T-S conductivity electrode with temperature sensor is a laboratory conductivity probe that combines a wide measuring range with integrated temperature sensing for automatic temperature compensation. It employs BPB (Brush-resistant Platinum Black) electrode technology, which reduces polarisation effects common with conventional stainless-steel sensors, supports a broad working range and maintains high measurement accuracy. The cell constant is K = 1,0; the stated measuring range covers 0 to 200 mS/cm and 0 to 50 °C. An integrated 30 kΩ thermistor enables simultaneous temperature measurement and ATC. The shaft is made of POM, the electrode body measures Ø12 × 155 mm, and a 1 m cable terminates in an 8-pin connector. A removable storage cap helps prevent the sensing surface from drying out; the BPB coating also permits gentle cleaning with a soft brush. Compatible Apera Instruments meters include the EC400, PC400, EC400S, PC400S, EC850, PC850, EC8500 and PC8500 series. Supplied as a single piece from manufacturer Apera Instruments, this electrode suits routine conductivity work in research and quality-control laboratories where reliable ATC and robust platinum-black performance are required.

What is this article?

2301T-S Conductivity/Temp. Electrode (K=1), Range: 0.5 μS/cm to 200 mS/cm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes APERA Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in Conductivity meters & cells, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A conductivity meter and its cell measure how well a solution carries current. The cell constant is the geometry that converts conductance to conductivity, and it is calibrated with a standard. Temperature compensation matters because conductivity rises with temperature.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
