Description
2mag MIX 8 XL multi-position magnetic stirrer is an ultra-flat, wear-free laboratory instrument optimised for the simultaneous stirring of eight 600 mL tall-form beakers. Eight stirring positions spaced 90 mm apart employ a 100 % wear- and maintenance-free induction drive that delivers powerful mixing with capacity reserves up to 3,000 mL per position. The speed range extends from 100 to 1,600 rpm with fully synchronous, jerk-free rotation even at low speeds. A four-stage power setting (5/10/15/20 W) allows high output for large or viscous media and reduced power for heat-free continuous operation. Digital display of speed and power, SoftStart for reliable stir-bar capture and centring, and automatic storage of the last operating state enhance everyday usability. The fully encapsulated stainless-steel housing measures 185 × 420 × 38 mm, is easy to clean and carries IP65 protection. Developed and made in Germany by manufacturer 2mag, the unit operates on 100–240 V / 50-60 Hz, weighs 7 kg net and is backed by a three-year warranty on material and manufacturing defects, making it suitable for demanding multi-position mixing tasks in research and analytical laboratories.

Questions about 2mag - MIX 8 XL Multiple point stirrer for 8x 600 mL beaker glasses (tall form)
What is this article?
2mag - MIX 8 XL Multiple point stirrer for 8x 600 mL beaker glasses (tall form) is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes 2mag for laboratory use. It sits in Magnetic stirrers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.
A magnetic stirrer is the motor and the plate under the flask. Many also heat. The stirring capacity is the litres of a water-like liquid it can turn, and a viscous liquid defeats a rating that was measured on water.
Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
