Description
301Pt-C combined ORP electrode is a platinum-ring sensor for oxidation-reduction potential measurements in ordinary aqueous solutions and wastewater-treatment applications. It pairs a high-quality platinum sensing element with a non-refillable KCl gel electrolyte and a single ceramic diaphragm, eliminating the need for electrolyte top-ups. The polycarbonate shaft measures Ø12×160 mm and houses an Ag/AgCl reference system. Measurement range extends from –1999 to 1999 mV; the standard potential is 222 mV ±15 mV at 25 °C. The platinum ring sensor itself measures Ø6×2,5 mm. From manufacturer APERA Instruments, the electrode connects via a standard BNC plug on a 1 m cable and is therefore usable with any instrument that accepts a BNC input. Compatible Apera meters include PH700, PH910, PC910, PH950, PC950, PH9500, PC9500, PH850, PC850, PH8500, PC8500, PH800, PC800, PH820 and PC820. Recommended operating temperature is 0–80 °C. The unit is supplied as a single piece and carries a six-month manufacturer warranty.

Questions about 301Pt-C ORP Combination Electrode, BNC Connector
What is this article?
301Pt-C ORP Combination Electrode, BNC Connector is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes APERA Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.
A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.
A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
