Description

Anion Multi-element standard (IC) is a ready-to-use aqueous mixture of seven common anions for simultaneous calibration in ion chromatography. The ROTI®Star formulation from manufacturer Carl ROTH contains fluoride 5 mg/l, chloride 10 mg/l, bromide 25 mg/l, nitrite 15 mg/l, nitrate 25 mg/l, phosphate 40 mg/l and sulphate 30 mg/l in water. Density is 0,997 g/cm³ and the boiling point is 100 °C. Using one mixed standard reduces preparation steps, improves consistency between calibration levels and supports efficient system suitability testing. It is well suited to IC workflows focused on drinking water, surface water and wastewater anion profiles where multi-component calibration is preferred over individual single-ion solutions.

This article is part of ICP, AAS & ion standards, in Analytical standards & reference materials.

Questions about IC standards, 100 ml, 7 anions (F-, Cl-, Br-, NO2-, NO3-, PO43-, SO42-) in H2O

What is this article?

IC standards, 100 ml, 7 anions (F-, Cl-, Br-, NO2-, NO3-, PO43-, SO42-) in H2O is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Carl Roth for laboratory use. It sits in ICP, AAS & ion standards, inside Analytical standards & reference materials, in Lab chemicals.

An ICP, AAS or ion standard is a solution of a stated element or ion at a stated concentration, with an uncertainty. It is the calibration point of a spectrometer or an electrode. The matrix, often dilute acid, has to match the method. A standard past its expiry is not that concentration.

A reference material is the article against which another result is compared. Its value is stated, and the uncertainty of that value is part of the product. An ICP or ion standard is a solution of known concentration. A volumetric standard is for titration. A chromatography standard is the peak you match. The grade names, including pharmacopoeia and ASTM, say which impurities were limited. Identity is checked on PubChem. Names follow IUPAC. Medicinal grades follow the European Pharmacopoeia and USP.
