Description

Anion Multi-element standard (IC) KP is a ROTI®Star aqueous multi-anion reference solution prepared for ion chromatography calibration and control. It contains six anions in water at defined concentrations: chloride 500 mg/l, fluoride 5 mg/l, nitrite 1 mg/l, nitrate 500 mg/l, phosphate 5 mg/l and sulfate 500 mg/l. The solution has a density of approximately 1 g/cm³ and a boiling point of 100 °C, matching a water-based matrix suitable for routine IC workflows. Laboratories use such standards to establish calibration curves and check instrument performance for chloride, fluoride, nitrite, nitrate, phosphate and sulfate in a single aqueous preparation. The product from manufacturer Carl ROTH is intended for chromatography and ion chromatography applications where a ready multi-anion mix in water is required. Clear concentration values in mg/l help streamline setup of multi-element IC methods without preparing individual single-anion stocks.

This article is part of ICP, AAS & ion standards, in Analytical standards & reference materials.

What is this article?

IC standards, 100 ml, 6 anions (Cl-, F-, NO2-, NO3-, PO43-, SO42-) in H2O is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Carl Roth for laboratory use. It sits in ICP, AAS & ion standards, inside Analytical standards & reference materials, in Lab chemicals.

An ICP, AAS or ion standard is a solution of a stated element or ion at a stated concentration, with an uncertainty. It is the calibration point of a spectrometer or an electrode. The matrix, often dilute acid, has to match the method. A standard past its expiry is not that concentration.

A reference material is the article against which another result is compared. Its value is stated, and the uncertainty of that value is part of the product. An ICP or ion standard is a solution of known concentration. A volumetric standard is for titration. A chromatography standard is the peak you match. The grade names, including pharmacopoeia and ASTM, say which impurities were limited. Identity is checked on PubChem. Names follow IUPAC. Medicinal grades follow the European Pharmacopoeia and USP.
