Description
Apiezon® grease, H is a high-temperature laboratory vacuum and grinding grease intended for joints and seals that experience both mild cold and substantial heat. It is specified for use in the temperature range between −10 and +240 °C, covering many heated vacuum lines, distillation apparatus and thermally cycled glassware assemblies. With a flash point above 260 °C and a boiling point above 450 °C, the grease maintains a workable lubricating film under demanding laboratory conditions. The product is supplied in a 25 g pack with a net weight of 0,045 kg and is used as a grinding grease, vacuum sealant or release agent on ground joints and mating surfaces. Apiezon® H grease from manufacturer M+I Materials complements other Apiezon grades where a broader thermal window is needed. It supports routine sealing and care of laboratory glassware in analytical, synthetic and vacuum workflows that combine elevated process temperatures with the need for reliable, removable joints.

What is this article?
Apiezon® grease, H, Use in temp. range betw. -10 and +240 °C, 25 g is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes M+I Materials for laboratory use. It sits in Grease, boiling stones & sealants, inside Tools & accessories, in Labware.
Grease seals a ground joint. Boiling stones give a liquid a place to start boiling so it does not bump. A sealant does the same job as grease when grease would contaminate the product. They are small, and they decide whether a joint weeps.
The small tools of the bench are what the hand actually holds: a spatula for a powder, forceps for an object that must stay clean, a brush for a narrow neck, a desiccator when a dried sample must not take up water again. None of these reads a measurement. They keep the measurement possible. The apparatus around them is listed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
