Description
Ashing furnace LVT3/11/B510 with lifting door is designed especially for laboratory ashing processes up to 1050 °C, with a maximum temperature of 1100 °C. Typical applications include determination of loss on ignition and ashing of food and plastics prior to substance analysis. A dedicated fresh-air and exhaust system replaces the chamber air more than six times per minute, ensuring sufficient oxygen throughout the process. Incoming air is preheated by the furnace heating to support good temperature uniformity of ±10 °C in the defined empty work area from 550 °C according to DIN 17052-1. Heating is provided from two sides via ceramic heating plates with integral, safeguarded and easily replaceable elements. The dual-shell housing uses textured stainless steel sheets with additional fan cooling for low outer surface temperature. Insulation materials are free from categorization under EC Regulation No. 1272/2008 (CLP). The unit from manufacturer Nabertherm includes controller B510 with touch operation (5 programs, 4 segments each), solid-state relays for low-noise operation, NTLog Basic process-data recording via USB, and a lift door that keeps the hot surface facing away from the operator.
This article is part of Muffle & tube furnaces, in Heating, drying & cooling.

Questions about Ashing Furnace LVT3/11/B510 Tmax1100 with lift door
What is this article?
Ashing Furnace LVT3/11/B510 Tmax1100 with lift door is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Nabertherm for laboratory use. It sits in Muffle & tube furnaces, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A muffle furnace surrounds a sample with heat for ashing or ignition, often to 1100 °C. A tube furnace heats a sample in a controlled atmosphere inside a tube. The maximum temperature and the chamber size are the specification. A drying oven is not a furnace.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
