Description
Automation tips for Tecan™ liquid-handling platforms with Liquid Handling (LiHa) arm are 1000 µl unfiltered pipette tips featuring low-retention surfaces and an extra-long geometry for automated liquid handling. A stringent 15-step quality control regime ensures high pipetting performance and reliable operation on compatible platforms. The tips are free of RNase, DNase, DNA, ATP and endotoxin and are manufactured under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified quality systems from manufacturer Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics. They are not autoclavable and are supplied non-sterile as reload inserts with 96 tips per insert and 10 inserts per pack, corresponding to a case of 960 tips. Compatibility includes Cavro™, MiniPrep™, PerkinElmer™ MultiProbe™ II HT, MultiProbe™ II HT EX and PerkinElmer™ Janus™ instruments. Low-retention surfaces help minimise sample hold-up of viscous or precious liquids, while the extra-long tip form supports access into deeper vessels. These attributes make the tips a practical choice for automated workflows that demand precise volume transfer and reduced residual volume.

Questions about Automation Tips for Tecan Liquid Handling Platforms
What is this article?
Automation Tips for Tecan Liquid Handling Platforms is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics for laboratory use. It sits in Pipette tips, inside Pipettes & pipette tips, in Lab consumables.
A pipette tip has to seal on the pipette it was designed for. Volume range, filter or no filter, sterile or not, and low-retention are the choices. A tip that merely looks the right size leaks or falls off. Racked tips and bulk tips are the same tip in different packaging.
A pipette moves a measured volume. A volumetric pipette delivers one line. A graduated pipette delivers along a scale. A Pasteur pipette is an uncalibrated transfer. A piston pipette uses a tip, and the tip has to seal on that pipette. A filter tip adds a barrier so aerosol from the sample does not reach the piston. Serological pipettes are the long graduated tubes used with a controller. The volume and the fit are the specification. Piston pipettes are treated under ISO laboratory apparatus. In-vitro work also meets ISO in vitro diagnostic systems.
